Eagle Spring 1001-K whole house water filters system
Water chemistry is different throughout the world. These water filter systems have been tested with precontaminated water (as determined by NSF STD 53). This water has been run through the filter until any one of the contaminants was no longer removed in sufficient quantity to meet EPA limits. At that point, the test was stopped and the gallonage noted. That gallonage is the compliance capacity of the units.
Eagle Spring drinking water filtration systems are manufactured and contain ingredients that are recognized as safe by both the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The water filter systems were tested by an independent laboratory to NSF Standard 53 (health effects). Eagle Spring 5015 Performance Reverse Osmosis Water System
Osmosis is the passage of molecules through the microscopic pores of a living or synthetic membrane. Reverse osmosis utilizes water pressure to force larger water molecules through the membrane while leaving the larger molecules of pollutants behind. The pure water is fed to the RO output and the water containing the pollutants (as well as minerals) is passed to the drain. RO is a very slow process because water molecules must individually pass through very small pores in the membrane. An RO membrane is tightly coiled within a cylinder to provide a large surface area, but it still takes several hours to produce a gallon of water. Storage tanks are utilized to accumulate treated water for immediate dispensing at a dedicated faucet.

Jupiter Mavello Water Ionizers
Jupiter has used a proprietary matting between the Mavello cell electrodes. With any water ionizer, it is essential that this material allow water to pass during ionization. What can happen, however, is that, unless there's an automatic cleaning cycle, very hard water will leave deposits on this material and eventually lower its transfer efficiency. The new proprietary matting used in the Mavello water cell is extremely resistant to mineral deposits. Lime, iron, and other minerals are "sloughed off" enabling better ionization for a longer period of time.
*The inner structure of the Mavello water cell enables a much better acid from alkaline water separation. This enhanced segregation between alkaline and acid water results in more efficient ionization as well as better isolation of any remaining chlorine or fluoride.
*The combination of efficient draining, improved matting, and revised inner structure could enable the Mavello to operate on only one clean cycle per 24 hours, however, the auto clean feature remains for every use

MicroLite JP107 Water Ionizer
As well as filtering out impurities from the input water, the MicroLite passes the water through what Jupiter Science has dubbed 'BioStone' , a ceramic formed of the semi-precious mineral Tourmaline. UltraBiolyte Under Counter UV Water Sterilizer
The space-saving design of The UltraBiolyte™ under-counter ultraviolet water purifier includes three stages of filtration for sterilized, bacteria-free water.
